19/12/2007:Upgraded the Barcode Generator
I have noticed a large number of errors in the site error log, most of which relate to failures in the Barcode Generator system.
From now on, any incorrect data sent to the generators should be rejected, and result in a valid image, if not a valid barcode. Please remember to enter a full set of numbers to get a working barcode!
This will probably be our final update of 2007, so savour it while it lasts!
We have a couple of projects in the works for you all, which are scheduled for completion in 2008 - the first is the Bar Wars card set. Everyone with a voucher will be able to use it! Also, there is the Bakodo Barcode Battler Simulator which is under development too...
There are also plans to expand into the territory of other Barcode games, such as Skannerz, Barcodzz, Super Bar Code Wars, Swypeout, Datach and any others you can think of - if you have any suggestions, please join our forum and let us know!

Have a merry Christmas, or if you don't celebrate Christmas, enjoy yourself and be good to eachother.
05/12/2007:Updated the Shop
The forum is now open, and discounting the system accounts, we have three members! Please keep an eye on the forum for important updates, and also to find things out before they are announced here!
19/11/2007:Fixed links on Home Page.
Created new Forum

Our new Forum is nearly open! It will be fully open tomorrow, but until then, people will be able to sign up and talk about Barcode Battlers!
Membership is free, but your first two posts must be an introduction and why you like (or dislike) Barcode Battlers.
24/09/2007:Corrected two barcodes in cards.js
Added Bakodo project.

Good news everyone! We have a new member on the team. His name is Madstokie, and he's here to proof read and test the site features to find mistakes and errors. Seasoned proof reader, Xensyria, has discovered two inaccuracies in our barcode list, namely XF-Armour and Vinyl Katana. Consequently, anything else with these barcodes in will also be incorrect. A corrected PDF file will be created shortly.
03/09/2007:Moved most of the "Japanese" section into cards.php and games.php
Improved the card viewer on cards.php
Developed the games.php page

Two years have passed since we first created this website. In that time, we have discovered numerous products, decyphered the inner workings of the Barcode Battler II unit, and sold three Barcode Battlers.
Soon to come, we have the Barcode Battler: Senki card scans to add to the "varchive" (I don't know why it's called that, so I'll have to ask CK0 when he returns), improvements to the Barcode Generator, a P-Code calculator, a Barcode Battler simulator, the online arcade (bPlay), the Bar Wars cards, and the Scans on CD to buy from bBay.
27/08/2007:Corrected cheats.php
Added basic card viewer to cards.php

Our researchers have cracked the algorithms which determine how P-Codes affect stats, so production work on the Bar Wars cards will resume shortly.
Also, we have put a basic card viewer in, which has been a long time coming since the old card viewers were deleted. It doesn't yet display the stats of the cards, but this functionality will be added soon.
15/08/2007:Moved to new server (at last).
Brought back scan archive.

We're back, and to celebrate 5000 hits, we have brought back the scan archive after moving to a whopping 500MB service!
Coming soon, we have the return of the card viewer, Barcode Battler Senki card scans, more great facts about the Barcode Battler product family, an online arcade (where UK residents can win a great prize every day), and loads more excellent stuff!
31/07/2007:Moving to new server (AGAIN!).
Created black.php, cards.php and games.php
Updated white.php and shop.php

Due to an unforseen problem, we have had to completely change web hosts. This will mean cheaper hosting for the same level of service, once we have moved.
However, the re-arrangement of the site is now under way, and you will start to see the layouts of certain pages change, some will merge, and others will be removed or renamed to make way for new features.
25/07/2007:Moving to new server.
Excellent news today! We are moving to a new server! Come the end of next week, we'll have more space, and we may even see the return of the scan archive!
19/07/2007:Site coding complete.
Closed card viewing pages.

Friends, Users, Countrymen, lend me your browsers!
It is I, Stu, here with the news! I'll admit here and now that I am responsible for some of the coding problems we've been having recently, but I have been hired to replace Tony while he sets up his new coding service - you might see adverts for it on the site.
All that remains for me to say is, I hope to be here a long time. My last job was making syringes for the NHS. Before that, I was on the editing team at the BBC. Now I'm just going off topic...
Oh yes, one more thing - I have had to close the card viewing pages while I redo them to fit our new image - sorry.
24/06/2007:Re-coding site.
Planning bPlay project.

Hello world,
Thanks to a recent anouncement about Internet Explorer 8, we are re-coding the whole site to fit the strict XHTML standard which it will use. This is for the benefit of anyone unfortunate enough to end up with this uncompromising browser.
Also, plans are under way for the bPlay project - an online arcade where you could win big prizes!
18/06/2007:New shop logo.
Scan Varchive temporarily closed.

Greetings Barcode Battler players,
I have some bad news - our Scan Vacrhive is closed until further notice. The people who have been generousely and unofficially hosting the scans for us are changing their web space provider and will no longer be able to accomodate the images.
On the lighter side of the news, we have started to sell products from the shop. To celebrate, we have made a fancy logo for it - and it didn't cost any where near as much as the 2012 olympics logo did.
21/05/2007:New front page.
gen.php upgraded.
More stock added to shop.php

The changes to the Barcode Generator are almost complete, and work on a White Barcode Battler Barcode Generator is under way.
Also, we have added more stock to our online shop, and created a new-look front page.
17/05/2007:gen.php upgraded.
The changes to the Generator are coming along nicely with one barcode input form taking the place of two. The simulated screen displays beneath the form will follow shortly.
14/05/2007:hero.php, c2.php and loz.php upgraded.
Hello everyone,
We have finally upgraded some of the card viewer pages - mainly the Hero, C2 and Legend of Zelda pages. We will very soon be adding card viewers for BCBI, Super Mario World, Dragon Slayer, Doreamon and "G" Set. Also, we will make the Generator more user friendly, add some Barcode Battlers and replacement cards to the shop and finally re-format the front page of the website.
11/05/2007:New item added to the shop.
Greetings Barcode Battler fans,
We have now started to sell replacement manuals in our SHOP.
Just so you know.
22/03/2007:Upgraded The Barcode Generator again.
Hello to you,
We have continued to upgrade The Barcode Generator. The EAN8 barcodes are now also generated at the server instead of in your browser, so you should be able to copy one picture instead of 11 to be able to print your barcodes!
On the "Fire Fox Friendly" front, we have also made the simulated Barcode Battler screens in the Generator server generated, to avaoid the technical problems with nested DIV tags. A similar upgrade will follow for the Barcode Battler screens outside of the Generator page.
Still to come are more scans from Xensyria (we have recieved them, but not yet gotten round to adding them).
15/02/2007:Upgraded The Barcode Generator.
Greetings devoted fans,
We have started to upgrade The Barcode Generator. The EAN13 barcodes are now generated at the server instead of in your browser, so you should be able to copy one picture instead of 16 to be able to print your barcodes! A similar upgrade will follow for EAN8 barcodes, and we have also deleted the UPC-E generator, which never worked properly anyway.
Coming soon are more scans from Xensyria, and an upgrade to make more of the JavaScript elements more Fire Fox friendly!
19/01/2007:Restored Scan Varchive.
Added French, German and Italian language scans to Scan Varchive.

Hello everyone,
Xensyria has taken the time to scan the French and German version, and we have finished scanning the Italian version. Enjoy!
08/01/2007:Service Announcement.
Added latest front page arts to gallery listing.

Greetings loyal readers. It has been almost two months since our last update. Management have asked us to design the Bar Wars cards and hadn't considered the site. However, we have a HUGE update on the way, and the scans should be back up in high resolution in the next week or two.
Before we can launch the Bar Wars cards, we'll need to consult with Wizards Of The Coast (who own the copyright on trading card games) and with Epoch (who own the copyright to the Barcode Battler).
In better news, Xensyria has sent in an Italian Barcode Battler for us to scan the cards & manuals. Big-up much respect in a area in a Fred Eliot stylee to Xensyria.
