Monty Piethon and the Holy Grail
The original plot involved Graham, John, Terry, Eric, Terry and Michael dressed as medieval knights. They would roam the countryside in search of the legendary Holy Grail, so they would have something to drink from to wash down all those tasty pies they've been eating. The final cut removed the pie eating scene, and had them looking for the Holy Grail for divine reasons.
